Robert Joseph Ludlam, 40, of Damascus, a native of Salineville, was pronounced dead on arrival at the Alliance City Hospital this morning at 2:40 of injuries received when his car hit a telephone pole in Alliance.
A Navy veteran, he was a conductor for the Pennsylvania Railroad Co.
He is survived by two sons, Robert Ludlam and Thomas Ludlam, both of Alwater, his mother, Mrs. Alice Watters of Damascus; his father Thomas Ludlam of Salineville, and two sisters, Mrs. Ben Springer of East Liverpool and Mrs. Earl Welty of Belle Blade, Fla.
Services will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at the Walton Schrader Funeral Home in Alliance with burial in Mt. Union Cemetery there.
Friends may call a the funeral home Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.
