Mrs. Lucy Rushton, the oldest member of the East Liverpool Salvation Army, died Sunday at 8:35 a.m. in City Hospital following an illness of two years. She was 82.
Mrs. Rushton, was born in Burslem, Staffordshire, England, and was a resident of East Liverpool for 20 years. Widow of Albert Thomas Rushton, she lived at 1945 Dresden Ave.
She is survived by a son, Joseph Rushton of East Liverpool; two daughters, Mrs. Sarah Oakes and Mrs. Marion Cox of East Liverpool; a sister, Harriett Baggley in England, and 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. from the Salvation Army Citadel by Brigadier Kate Hillman. Burial will be in Columbiana County Memorial Park.
Friends may call Tuesday night at the Martin Funeral Home.
