Steve (Rudy) Pekich, 68, of 33 8th St., Midland, died Tuesday at the Beaver County Medical Center after a frief illness.
He was born in Youngstown, Ohio, Jan. 30, 1905. He was retired from the conditioning mill at the Crucible Division of Colt Industries.
Mr. Pekich is survived by his widow, Mrs. Mary Pekich; a son, Peter Michael Pekich, stationed with the Navy at Virginia Beach, VA.; a daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Dorothy Ann) Huska of Midland, and a granddaughter.
Seervices will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at the Schwerha Funeral Home by the Rev. Slobodan Pradanovich, pastor of the St. George Serbian Orthodox Church. Burial will be in the Beaver Cemetery.
Friends may call a the funeral home tonight from 7 to 10 and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 10 p.m. Parastas Blessing services will be held at the funeral home Thursday at 8 p.m.
