Marshall W. “Jack” Staubs

SALEM – Marshal W. “Jack” Staubs, 78, formerly of Garrettsville, Ohio, died at 11 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 23, 2003, at Essex of Salem following a lengthy illness.
Raised in Charles Town, W.Va., he was born Oct. y, 1925, a son of the late Clarence E. and Dora Painter Staubs, and was Lutheran by faith.
A self-employed blacksmith, he was a member of the International Union of the Journeymen Horseshoers of the Untied States and Canada AFL-CIO.
He also served with the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) in Utah at one time.
His wife, Bessie L. Atkinon Staubs, whom he married Sept. 23, 1951, survives in Salem.
A brother, Grafton Woodrow “Sonny” Staubs of Charles Town, also survives.
There are seven nephews, David, Marsahll, Robert and James Atkinson and Woodrow, Jerry and Arnold Bailey Staubs, and one niece, Delores Staubs.
Several great nieces and great-nephews also survive.
Two brothers, Ellis and Arnold Staubs, preceded him in death.
Friends may call Wednesday at the Dawson Funeral Home, where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m.
Graveside services will be in Shadow Lawn Memory Garden at a later date.
