NEWELL – Virgil R. Heath, 81, died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2005.
He was born Dec. 18, 1923, in Newell, the son of the late Raymond and Dollie (Baker) Heath.
He was a World War 11 Army veteran. He retired from the Knowles Pottery and Anchor Hocking as a packer and was a member of the Glendale Nazarene Church.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Donald Heath Jr., a great-grandmother, Faith; and a brother, Harold Heath.
He is survived by his loving family, his wife, Norma Jean Church Heath at home; three sons, David Heath and wife, Linda of the Newell area, Donald Heath of the Newell area and Daniel Heath and wife Pam of the Newell area; brother, Leonard Heath of Newell; six grandchildren, Tammy, Crystal, David, Jennifer, Danielle and Shanielle; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral sercices will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. at the Glendale Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Jim Davidson officiating. Interment will follow a the Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens of Newell.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Newell Chapel of the Nixon Funeral Home.
