EAST Liverpool – Georgia Mae Hissam, 78, of College Street, died Friday, Aug. 19, 2005, at Salem Community Hospital Following a brief illness.
A daughter of the late James W. and Delcie E. Kyle Davis, she was born May 7, 1927, in Jacksonburg, W.Va.
A homemaker, Georgia was a member of the Pentecostal Church.
Georgia was predeceased by two sisters, Myrtle Yost and Mary Ellen Davis, and five brothers, Virgil, Denver, John, Henry, James Albert (her twin) and Charles W. Davis. Also preceding her were four half sisters, Deloris Long, Delphia Davis, Pearl Davis and Mary Davis and a half brother, James Arthur Davis.
A son, Roger L. Cain and his wife, Ginger of Rogers, survive along with a sister, Martha Hunt of East Liverpool. Survivors also include two grandsons, Roger D. Cain and his wife Kerri of Lisbon and Donnie Allen Cain and his wife Jennifer of New Waterford. In addition there are five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Len Derico, minister of the First Christian Church of Columbiana will conduct services at the Arner Funeral Chapel, 607 Carolina Ave. in Chester, On Monday, Aug. 22, at 1:30 p.m. Interment will follow at Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens in Newell. The family will be present to receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m.
