NEWELL –Wilbert B. Shenton, 82, died Monday, April 14, 2003
He was born June 14, 1920, in Chester, a son of the late Ernest and Susan Arner Shenton. He was retired from the Homer Laughlin China Co., last working as a packer. He was an avid country and western dance fan.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Staley Shenton; a son, Keith Shenton; a soster, Molly shenton, and six brothers, Ernest Jr., Harold, Clifford, Samuel, Floyd and Clyde.
He is survived by a son, Robert Shenton and his wife Nancy of East Liverpool; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Shenton of Newell; a companion, Beverly Fowler of Newell; three grandchildren, Scott Shenton, Annette Rhodes and Bonnie Shenton; and five great-grandchildren, Skylar, Olivia Trevor, A. J. and Brandon.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 at the Newell Chapel of the Nixon Funeral Home, where Pastor James Thomson of the First Evangelical Presbyterian Church of East Liverpool will officiate services Thursday at 11 a.m.
Interment will follow at Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens of Newell.
